Rivian’s upcoming electric vehicles now have an official range of over 300 miles

In a few weeks, the new upcoming Rivian R1T and R1S will finally start shipping to customers. The two models were unveiled in 2018 and have been in rigorous testing and development since, in 2019 the R1T prototype was used as a chase car on the Apple TV+ show, The Long Way Up and this week, the company has now revealed the official range of both models.

Up until now, the range of the R1T and R1S have been sourced from estimates within Rivian, but he EPA in the US has now confirmed the range. On the R1T with a 135kWh battery, it can do 316 miles of range. Next year, a larger capacity model will go on sale, which will have an estimated 400 miles of range.
