Audi launches the new e-tron GT in the US

Audi launches the new e-tron GT in the US

Audi announced the new e-tron back in February this year for the European and UK market and it went on sale this Spring. It is now available over in the US with a starting price of $99,900. That price is without any government incentives or discounts.

Audi and Porsche have worked on the platform for the Taycan and the e-tron, so both cars are similar, with some differences. The e-tron GT is tuned a bit different to the Taycan, with combination of softer ride and a bit less power.

Despite the less power, the e-tron GT handles 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds, has 469bhp and a top speed of 152mph, the RS model does 0-60mph in 3.1 seconds with 590bhp and a top speed of 155mph. Both cars can do around 235 miles of range on one charge.

The e-tron GT comes standard with 20-inch alloy wheels, the RS model has a carbon fibre roof panel for weight saving as well. Both come with Matrix LED headlights. Inside the car, everything is leather free with recycled material where possible, however the option Nappa leather is available.

The new e-tron GT and RS are now both on sale in the US starting at $99,990.
