Ubiquiti introduces UniFi Access, enterprise building access system

Recently, Ubiquiti has announced its new ‘UniFi Access’ line of products which is aimed at the enterprise market for door access with NFC cards, cameras and more. Like everything UniFi, from the Network controller to Protect, Access needs to run on a controller and at this time the UDM Pro can run UniFi Access.

Ubiquiti has a range of products to make up a door access system

UA Pro

The UA Pro has a screen, camera and supports NFC from cards and smartphones as well as a doorbell feature. All of these Access products are powered by PoE. The UA-Pro is $499.

Ubiquiti also recently launched UniFi Talk and something which will be coming soon is Two way audio with inergration into UniFi Talk.

Other products will be launching later on, the UA-Lite which looks to not have a camera and the UA-Hub which everything plugs into and then talks to door strikes and bolts.

Ubiquiti has announced UniFi Access but no products are generally available at this time, the website just says “Available in the EA Store” which is Ubiquiti’s early access store for beta products.
