Apple reports its Q2 earnings for 2020

Last night, Apple revealed its Q2 fiscal earnings, announcing company revenue by category and profit levels.

Apple always goes over each product category and how much revenue each generated as well as how much revenue the whole company generated in the last quarter. Total revenue for Q2 2020 was $58.3 billion, this is up slightly over the $58 billion it had in the same quarter in 2019. Out of this, Apple had a profit of $11.25 billion.

  • iPhone generated $28.9 billion of revenue
  • iPad was $4.36 billion
  • Mac was $5.35 billion
  • Wearables, home and accessories was $6.28 billion
  • Services was $13.34 billion

The service category hit a new record for Apple, this includes Apple Music, iCloud, Apple News+, Apple Card, Apple Arcade, Apple TV+, App Store as well as everything else Apple offers.

Apple has also helped to support the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic my manufacturing face shields, Apple has produced “tens of millions of face masks” to those professionals who need them.
