Tesla updates the Model 3 with more range and an indicator stalk

Tesla Model 3

Tesla has updated the Model 3 today with a few key improvements to improve the quality of life for owners. For starters, the major addition is the indicator stalk which was introduced in the latest Model Y earlier this year. This has been a sticking point for some people, where the Model 3 when it was refreshed in 2024, did away with stalks for buttons instead.

Elsewhere, all versions now get upgraded battery packs, which has increased the range from 318 on the standard RWD to 344 miles, LR RWD from 431 miles to 445 miles, Performance from 328 miles to 355 miles and finally on the LR RWD up from 430 to 466 miles.

Tesla hasn't specified the battery capacity of the new batteries, or the outgoing batteries for that matter, but it is widely understood that the larger battery was 82kWh and the smaller was 78.1kWh, so Tesla might have increased the size on these - but for now, we don't know.

Also, the Model 3 now features a front facing camera on the front bumper, useful for maneuvering in car parks.
