This week, Seat launched the updated Ibiza hatchback, which is now on its second facelift since the fifth generation was launched back in 2017 - over eight years ago. While this isn't a brand new car by any means, Seat has updated a lot of areas that actually matter.
The most notable changes are at the front, which features new slimmer LED headlights, which are now available on all trim levels. Previously, the entry level trim had halogen bulbs. The front bumper is also more aggressive, with the grille featuring a new hexagonal pattern.
Inside, it looks fundamentally the same, but Seat has said the quality has been improved, with fabric on the door cards, darker headliners and rather than bright red air vent accents, they are now more subtle.
The age of the Ibiza model shows itself with the physical climate controls and tactile buttons on the steering wheel - a rare thing now in 2025, especially for the Volkswagen Group, but very refreshing to see.
Engine options are the same as before, with a 1.0-litre engine option with 95PS and a five speed manual, or a 1.0-litre 115PS version with either a six speed manual or seven speed DSG.
However, more updates are coming later down the line. Seat is going to offer mild-hybrid engine options for the Ibiza in 2027.
