Be.EV introduces new cheaper EV charging and subscription service

Be.EV 39p cheaper charging

UK based EV charging network, Be.EV has this week debuted a new very competitive range of new pricing to help lower the cost of running for EV drivers. Pricing on its entire network is now £0.39p/kWh, when charging off-peak. There is also two new charging subscriptions to lower the price per kWh in the daytime.

The average price per kWh for public rapid and ultra-rapid charging in the UK is at a shockingly high level at the moment. As of September 2025, according to Zapmap data - it is £0.76p/kWh on average. Be.EV want to make public charging more accessible, especially for driver's who do not have access to a home charger.

Be.EV CEO, Asif Ghasfoor said:

“For too long, EV charging in the UK has been built for the privileged few with a driveway. Those who rely on public charging – often people in flats, terraced housing, or busy urban centres – are forced to pay much more than those who can plug-in at home. That’s not just unfair, it’s a barrier to mass adoption”.

One of the main changes to the pricing is the new off-peak rates, which now takes effect on every single one of its chargers. Between the times of 7pm and 7am, the price per kWh is now £0.39p for its 150kW+ DC ultra rapid chargers.

Also there are two new subscriptions, Mini and Mega which are £4.99 and £9.99 per month respectively. The Mini brings the peak price of £0.69p/kWh down to £0.49p/kWh and the Mega makes this £0.39p/kWh.

It also must be said that the £0.69p/Wh price is only if you use the Be.EV app, otherwise it is £0.79p/kWh for PAYG customers.

Be.EV isn't slowing down anytime soon in terms of expansion, with 850 sites in operation and 1000 in development.
