Fiat is planning on removing all the models it sells currently in the UK from sale that don’t have some sort of electrification. By July 2022, the company says the last engine to go is the 1.2-litre petrol engine, which will be removed from the current Fiat 500 and Fiat Panda. Instead, they’ll haver the option of a 1.0-litre hybrid with a 11Ah battery.

Fiat started to work towards an electric future back in 2020 when it launched the Fiat 500 hybrid and the Fiat Panda hybrid. Since then, the company has launched the brand new, all electric Fiat 500 – which is the company’s first all electric car.

Earlier this year, Fiat added the last two cars to its list for having a hybrid option, with the Fiat 500X and Fiat Tipo.
