Rockstar today has revealed two pieces of good news for GTA fans around the world, first announcing when Grand Theft Auto V will be available on the next generation consoles, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X as well as giving the first nugget of news on the next version of the blockbuster game.

GTA V and GTA Online will be available the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X on 15th March, with new features that take advantage of the upgraded hardware. The graphics overall have been improved for a start and the max frame rate is up to 60fps, 4K resolution, ray tracing, HDR as well as a whole host of visual enchantments. The game will also load faster too.

More good news is that users coming from the PS4 or Xbox One will be able to transfer their progress from story mode and GTA Online over to the new consoles, although it must be said this is strictly a one time thing.

The other piece of ness is that Rockstar has actually confirmed for the first time, that it is working on a new version of GTA, likely to be called GTA 6. The company said that development for it is well underway with more information to come when they are ready.
