New Ford Bronco Raptor to be announced on Monday

New Ford Bronco Raptor to be announced on Monday

Ford is set to announce an all new variant of the Ford Bronco, with the Bronco Raptor which like its F-150 stablemate is expected to be a more powerful, more off road focused model with all terrain tyres.

Ford CEO, Jim Farley tweeted on Friday this week that the company is planning on announcing the new model next week on Monday 24th January at 6am EST.

Ford enthusiast forum The Bronco Nation has been posting some photos showing some glimpses of what could be expected from the new model, such as 37-inch all terrain ties, new suspension system and LED marker lights. There is also much larger wheel arch flairs to house those bigger tyres.

However, what’s unknown at this stage is what engine Ford is going to go with – the most powerful Bronco on sale at the moment is a 2.7-litre V6 with 330bhp, Ford has recently moved away from using V8s in its F-150 Raptor models so a modified V6 is probably most likely, with 400bhp.

Ford is going to be announcing and showing off a full look at the Bronco Raptor on Monday next week, so stay tuned for more.
