BMW teams up with RingGo to offer payment for car parking on iDrive

BMW has announced today that it has partnered up with RingGo to offer its parking app on the integrated iDrive head units on its new cars. The RingGo app offers users to pay for parking without the need for a separate phone app or using cash.

BMW is only offering the app on newer models running iDrive 7 or later and it’ll be installed on all BMW systems built after July 2018 and running iDrive 7 or later.

“This partnership with BMW has truly been a joint venture with motorists at the heart of the solution. It is another demonstration of the rapid evolution of integrated motoring, parking and mobility services.”

Peter O’Driscoll – UK Managing Director, RingGo
