Mitsubishi is going to be leaving the UK and Europe

Mitsubishi is going to be leaving the UK and Europe

Last month, Mitsubishi announced plans that it will no longer be launching new vehicles anymore here in the UK and the rest of Europe, due to overall profitability of operating.

The pullout will not be overnight and Mitsubishi will still sell the existing models, including the newly updated L200 pickup and the Outlander PHEV hybrid SUV – those models will be still sold until they don’t meet the emissions regulations, which are forever getting stricter.

The Mitsubishi Motor Corporation said that the current profit levels in Europe and the UK are at the lowest it has ever been and the company has had no choice but to reduce costs and that means pulling out of markets not performing as well.

The Mitsubishi Motor Corporation had a loss of £1.3 billion in Q1 2020.
