Apple is planning on releasing iOS 16 to compatible devices next week on Monday 12th September, after a few months in the beta process after it was released in June earlier this year. We released a post explaining all the new features with iOS 16, which you can find here.

iOS 16 will be released at 10am PDT (6pm BST) on Monday 12th September.This year, Apple has dropped support for the iPhone 6s, iPhone 7 and iPhone SE (first generation) and the following devices now work with iOS 16.

The main feature of iOS 16 is the new lock screen, which can be customised with widgets, fonts and much more. The Wallet app can share keys with other users and Apple Maps – at long last now supports Multistop routing.

iPadOS 16 gets a new Stage Manager feature, for M1 iPads only as well as the Weather app. iPadOS 16 is delayed this year and should be launched sometime in October. iPadOS 16 will work with the iPad‌‌ (5th generation and later), iPad mini (5th generation and later), iPad Air (3rd generation and later), and all iPad Pro models.
