Tesla has recently announced that it will not be launching any new models this year, with the year 2023 set as the earliest this will happen. The company is currently focusing on getting out of the supply chain issues and making sure it can produce enough cats in a global scale. Tesla has the Roadster, Semi and Cybertruck all waiting to be released and all of them were announced a good few years ago now.

In the company’s 2021 earnings call, Elon Musk said that “If we were to introduce new vehicles, our total vehicle output would decrease. We will not be introducing new vehicles this year.”

Tesla will not be putting the Cybertruck into production this year and the company needs to handle the massive increase in orders for the Model Y and Model 3. Elon said that both the Roadster and Cybertruck should go into production next year. The company has long been rumoured to be working on a cheaper model, under $25,000 but when asked, Elon said that they are now working on one at the moment, the company is too busy.
