Google has been long rumoured to launch its own smartwatch for many years now, with some reports suggesting that the company could launch it later this year on 26th May. Renowned leaker, Jon Prosser has heard that this is the first date that has been seen, but Google is known for changing their mind.

Jon Prosser has mentioned that Google is planning on announcing its Apple Watch competitor on 26th May with a date that makes the most sense as Google’s annual I/O developer conference is usually in that month.
Google will be entering the Android market to join a lot of other vendors, and is likely to have a circular face with no bezel and will be taking the Apple Watch head on with likely focus on Wear OS and what it can bring.
It goes without saying, this is a rumoured release date so far with nothing yet confirmed.
