Uber was one of the first companies to support the Apple Watch back in 2015 when it was released but it has now stopped supporting it as of this week. When you open the app up it now shows the message “Please switch to the Uber mobile app We are no longer supporting the Apple Watch app. Sorry for the inconvenience 😢”

The message itself isn’t that well worded, but what’s more weird is that the Apple Watch app can still be downloaded from the App Store, even though it doesn’t work.

Uber has never really paid any attention to the Apple Watch app since it was released, with limited functionality with no support for uberPOOL, fare splitting or offering any way to contact an Uber driver.
