Apple is reported to be working on a new revamped Music app for macOS, one that looks to be fully native for the first time. For a long time the iTunes app and the Music have used something called JET, a technology which helps turn content loaded from the web into an experience which makes it seems native. Sometimes this has caused the app to feel sluggish and sometimes takes a while to load certain elements.

9to5Mac have uncovered some code from the macOS Monterey 12.2 beta which contains some new code for the Music app and is based on AppKit. If this is something Apple actually releases, it could mean a much improved experience for the app. Searches should be much faster too.
