Apple has this week marked the original Apple Watch as vintage, both the 38mm and 42mm versions are now in the official list of vintage and obsolete products.

The original Apple Watch was announced in September 2014, alongside the iPhone 6 but didn’t launch until the following April, in 2015. The first generation was around the longest of any model, being replaced by the Series 2 in September 2016, since then Apple has launched a new model once a year.

Apple is now considering the first Apple Watch as “vintage” which means Apple will no longer repair it in the Genius Bar at the Apple Store or from any other Authorised Service locations.
